Kelley and I recently had the opportunity to attend a Grace Ormonde Washington DC social. It could not have been at a more perfect setting which happened to be the Mandarin Oriental. There were many great vendors present some who have been in the industry for a while and some that were just starting out. The highlight of the evening was having a personal one on one conversation with Grace herself.
A Rather Large Photo Spotted!
Posted in Clark Bailey Photography on April 23, 2008 by clarkbaileyA recent Clark Bailey photo shoot with Drs. Mike & DeeDee received some exposure in a rather large way. A billboard on Branch Avenue (Maryland).

Another CD project, another success…

Posted in Clark Bailey Makeup on March 28, 2008 by clarkbaileyIt is pretty amazing how people neglect to see that their wedding day makeup is something that they have to look at for the rest of their life. Bridal makeup is often thought of as something just for the day which is proved by the fact that the makeup vendor is usually the last vendor (or one of the last vendors) that the bride books for her wedding. Now let’s take a closer look…. The photographer is usually the first vendor booked, and the makeup artist is usually the last vendor booked when all the while the two services are supposed to go together.
We have put the best of both worlds together. Although the bride has the option to book photography and makeup services separately, through Clark Bailey Weddings, you can book both at the same time. Kelley Epps, one of Washington DC’s most sought after makeup artist, is the Senior Makeup artist for Clark Bailey Weddings. She runs the makeup division and it is her keen attention to detail that has helped her to achieve recognition in The Knot, I Do Brides, Grace Ormonde and more.
Life’s Ironic Moments
Posted in Inner Thoughts on March 28, 2008 by clarkbaileyThere are certain things that we deem as being ironic in life. This could not be more true when I think of how we have built and are continuing to build this wedding photography and makeup company and at the same time planning our own wedding. Needless to say, no matter your level or professionalism, going through the same stages that your current and future clients are and will go through, gives you a much needed perspective. Everyday we chip away at another piece of the puzzle and eventually those pieces will come together to create a memory of a lifetime.
